EOTD: The Meerkat caught a Butterfly

This is an EOTD with several purples from different brands.

Products used:
Fyrrinnae, eyeshadow, Meerkat
Fyrrinnae, Arcane Magic, Sequined Master
Gosh, Effect Powder, Butterfly
Morgana Cryptoria, eyeshadow, Cryptic
Essence, gelliner, Berlin Rocks

It's been a while since I did this EOTD, so I can't really tell you what eyeshadow I used where, but I still think this one is pretty and thought I should share.

I love the way my eyes look supergreen when I use purple eyeshadow.

I'm not sure what lipstick I'm wearing here, I think it's Sleek's Amythst, a pink with a blue shine.

NOTD: Drama Queen

This is a NOTD with a Limited Edition nailpolish by Catrice. It's from the Welcome to Las Vegas collection.

In the bottle, it looks like a black with a multiglitter in it. It reminded me a bit of I wear My sunglasses at Night, but its still different.
 '
The old gold sparkle is the one that comes out on your nails most. It gives the nails an old gold shine.
If you look closely though, you can still see a few multiglitters here and there.
It's a nice polish and it applies as easy as most Catrice polishes. I like the old gold shine over the black, but it's not a wow factor like some other polishes have.

EOTD: Curly Browns

This is another EOTD with Catrice products.

I think I'm going to use the IntensifÉye wet next time, because on the pics, you can't really see the beautifull copperygold glitter, that was definately there.

Catrice, Absolute Eye Colour, My Souvernir From Moon
Catrice, Absolute Eye Colour, My First Copperware Party
Catrice, Intensif'Eye, Black Or White Swan?!
Sugarpill, Bulletproof (as eyeliner)
Gosh, Velvet Touch Eyeliner, Metallic Brass(below the eyes)

Experimenting: Pincurls

I tend to roll my hair up in 2 low buns after I washed my hair, but I wanted to try out the effect of Pincurls.

Pincurls are very easy to achieve:
Grab a lock of hair and roll the end around your finger. then take this little curl and roll it up towards your head. Then pin it on your head and do the rest of your hair. Now, all you have to do is wait for it to dry.
(If you search for pincurls on Youtube, there are lots of videos to show you)

I only put in some Andrelon Verrassend Volume Beach Effect Spray, for some extra volume. And wow, did I get volume! I had to brush it down a bit, because my hair had curled so hard, it was short...and BIG!
I don't really own the right brush, and didn't want to use hairspray, so the curls are a bit frizzy.

I didn't really have time to do much more with it, because I was going out the door. But you can really brush/model it into a nice looking retro hairdo if you want :)

I didn't use any hairspray to set it, because I didn't want to ruin my newly washed hair, but also because I wanted to see what kind of curls there would be the day after:

I hink pincurls are a fun and easy way to achieve curls and to create a whole different hairdo. They also give you great volume for the days after.

I won: a Revlon Lipstick

Last week I received an email from DeltaCephei that I won a prize!

Very soon after replying with my adress, I recieved this in an envelope:

I won a Revlom Colourburst Lipstick in the colour Peach! I love Revlon and I regret it deeply that they stopped selling in in my mall. It's a shade that I don't own yet, at all, and I really like it. I adore the packaging aswell, it looks so sophisticated :)
I've already tried it out, and the lipstick is really soft on the lips, and gives a lovely nude peach effect.
Thanx again Suzanne!

NOTD: Silver & Black Chaos

This is another NOTD with some Konad nailart.
Everytime I have to cut my nails, I tend to use konad nailart, because otherwise they aren't short enough for the stamps. Even after cutting, they tend to be a bit too long though.
I really wish Konad would make longer and wider stampingdesigns.

Products used:
China Glaze, Cheers To You
Konad, Special Stamping Polish, Black

I really like this combination of chaotic naildesign and the shiny silver peeking through the black :)

EOTD: Peacock Sword Feather

A little while ago, I wrote about the Heather Hair Extension that I bought from Your Feather Fashion. As you all (should) know, I'm a big fan of peacockfeathers. This time I wanted to do a look to match the feathers form my hbeairextenions. The swordfeathers of a peacock are kinda duochrome, in normal light they go from light green to dark blue, but in different light, they go from dark gold to a mix of turquoise and azure. I went for the darker colours, and here's what I used:

Sugarpill's Absinthe, Tipsy, Lumi, Darling, Starling and Royal Sugar.

I went to work right after making the pics, so I was in a bit of a hurry making them. Please bare in mind that Sugarpill colours are really bright and gorgeously sparkled.

I actually applied the chromalusts in the same order as pictured above on my eye.

I only used Lumi as a sort of highlighter over the rest to blend the colours a bit together and achieve some of the duochrome effect the feathers have.

In daylight:
Peacock Sword Feather in a different light:

I had to go to work, soI kept the rest of the makeup simple: just a bit of Light Burgundy blush by Catrice and The Soft Touch Soft 'n Shine by Gosh on my lips.

I think this look would look even more amazing with some fake lashes and a more extreme lipstick colour, but I might save that for some other time. For work, this was crazy enough as it was ;)

EOTD: Have I Green you before?

This is a simple EOTD, but one that I do seriously love. I adore the colours usd and I think the whole look really suits me.

Products used:
Catrice, Absolute Eye Colour, I Think Ive Green You Before
Catrice, Intensif'Eye, Have You Seen Alice?
Catrice, Absolute Eye Colour, Rock The Party (LE)

The beautiful azuregreen with gold shimmer in it, wasn't really pigmented on top of Hema eyeshadowbase, so I applied it wet for a better result. It really lights up your inner eye corner, and I'm glad I picked it up for just 1 euro :)

On the rest of the eye, I used the Intensid'Eye eyeshadow, a beautiful green colour that doesn't really match any other green I own. I then moved my brush over a darker part of the same eyeshadow and applied that in the outer V for more depth.  I might get myself another one of these with more dark in it, because I really like it.

With the black eyeshadow, that has tiny glitter in it, I made a small softlooking line above the lashes and a small wing. I then applied it underneath my eyes aswell.

Because I thought it might need something darker, I applied that same eyeshadow on top of my waterline aswell. I like how it makes the white of my eye whiter, but my eyes don't really like stuff on their waterline. Especially not if it has glitter in it. So I tend not to put anything on it, but I liked it with these colours. Next time I will just use my Sleek Kohl pencil. That one stays in place better and doesn't irritate my eye as much.

And the rest of the look that day:

If it's cold inside, I tend to wear the hoodie of my cardigan, because it keeps my neck warm :)

I used a bit of Sleek Fenberry blush on my cheeks, and the new Catrice lipstick I told about in my haul. It's The World's Grapest and I LOVE it. It's almost matching with my newly dyed deepred roots, but a tiny bit more purple. And you can even see the tiny silver glitter on my lips. I definately recommend this one!

I can't seem to capture the colour of my lips the way it looks in real life. *sigh* one of my biggest frustrations lately. Daylight doesn't really do it justice ether, but comes a bit closer:

Extreme Look: Valentine's Eye

I wanted to do something different with some fake lashes and I was in a weird mood. So.... I ended up with a freaky look that is not wearable outdoors ;)

Products used:

Fake Feather lashes from Born Pretty Store
Fake lashes from Action (MAX)
NYX jumbo pencil, Milk
Sugarpill's Magentric
Sugarpill's Dollipop
Sugarpill's Tako
Gosh effect powder Rose Gold
Sleek glitter eyeliner Diablo
Essence liquid eyeliner black

It's not easy to create this shape on such a small part of your face, especially when it looks really different form another angle.
I tried to use the lashes to create a perfect heartshape, but the ones from Action didn't really cooperate and one of them got bend a bit, and so I got a crooked line at the bottom.

It's a bit of a shame that the colours are toned down on the pics, because there was a lot of shimmer and glitter going on.

I tried to keep the rest of the colours and shapes a bit simple, or it would have become one big chaotic mess.
It's freaky, but still fun. And well..at least it's different! hahahaha.
This was after I took off the bottom lashes. I think this could have worked aswell, and then maybe with normal fake lashes above my own. Still, I think it was fun to do and it gave a really freaky effect to use the lashes like this. I'm definately using the feather lashes again in a normal way sometime, I think they are really cool.
