My Precious..... Chanel Rouge Noir lipstick

After I first bought a red Chanel lipstick, I was blown away. I have really annoying lips that don't like lipsticks or stains, and I really wanted a nice red lipstick that I could wear without worrying too much about it.
I'll write a review about that first one soon, but after that one, I decided I really wanted Chanel Rouge Noir aswell. So after a week of getting excited (after putting money aside for it ofcourse), I went to Ici Paris....and found out it was sold out. It was sold out EVERYWHERE. *sigh* Just my luck..I hould get used to it, but I always get my hopes up.
Anyway, Ici Paris ordered it for me, and about a week later I could pick it up. Ici Paris gave me a 10% discount, and I also had a 5 euro gifcard for anything that was above 25 euro. Which resulted in me paying 'only' 21,10 euros. I know that is a lot of money, but for a special colour and a lipstick that just feels a lot better on my lips without drying them out....sometimes it's just worth it.

With Flash:
This is absolutely NOTHING like the colour it is in real life. The cushion is, which is weird, haha.
I think it's because of the really tiny red shimmer that's in the lipstick, that it might reflect this bold.

Without Flash:

This is without flash and with shadow, which results in a much more realistic colour of the lipstick.

I made some pics on my lips, the closeups are a bit sloppy, but I was just trying to search for the right lighting...and failed miserably..

On pictures of my whole face it shows uo a lot darker, much more like the real thing:

Without flash again, can't get a lot of detail this way, but it really is this dark:

Sid totally loves it, it is now his favourite lipstick for me :)

Review & Swatches: Aidor eyebrow makeup kit

I've found this at Kruidvat for about 3 euros orso, I don't remember correctly, sorry.
I took the darkest colour they had, but I don't know if there are even darker colours in the collection.

This kit includes a Dark Brown (no.10005) eyebrow powder, a soft brush and 3 eyebrowshapes.
The eyebrowshapes are different from most kits that I've seen, they almost fit my eyebrow shape, which has never happened before. But I haven't used them, because I don't like using such plastic things.

The brush isn't sturdy enough to shape your eyebrows, and it didn't take up a lot of product, which annoyed me. So I used my own slanted eyeshadowbrush, that I always sue for my brows.

The eyebrowpowder is easy to use, and doesn't smudge when you go over it with your finger.

Unfortunately, this colour is still wayyyyy too light and a bit to red for me. But if you can find the right colour for your brows, I think this is a great budgetproduct for your eyebrows.

Catrice and Essence products, getting discontinued!

Some of you might know that Kruidvat is getting a new brand called NYC. But Catrice and Essence are also getting new products in their collection. This means that other products are getting discontinued to make space for the new products.
Yesterday, I found out that some of them are products that are quite liked among the beautybloggers, so I decided to make a post about it. That way, everyone might still have a chance to stock up on them.

One of the things I'm not happy with dissapearing is the Catrice Mineral Soft Powder Rouge. This is my favourite everyday blush, and it's now a discon. I'm hoping that they will come with a new blush that is just as great, but you never know, do you? So I bought some backups for myself:

Another product that is well loved among beautybloggers is the Catrice Absolute Moisture lipsticks. These are now discons aswell. The other lipsticks that Catrice has, is -also- a discon, but I like the Aboslute Moisture ones best. I bought 2 more, that I didn't have in my stash yet:

There were a lot of other things being discontinued:
-certain nailpolish colours
-some lipliners
-some eyeliners
-some mineral powders
and so on...

So if you have some favourites in there, I suggest you check it out. A lot has already been sold out, and the products will be gone as of March this year, which is pretty soon.
The only good thing about it, is that they are now all with a 50% discount. So stocking up, if they are still avialable, is doable.

Hopefully, new products will be just as good or even better.

Essence is also discontinueing several products, even more then Catrice.
I've picked up these eyeliners (Metal Glam), because I've had 2 shades in the past and I really liked them. They were only a little bit over 1 euro a piece now, so I bought them all:

I'm really glad I did!. I've loved the brown and purple one I already owned. But the dark blue and aquablue are just gorgeous! The pink one will be fun to use in freaky looks :)

Other products getting discontinued:
-several nailpolishes
-a lot of the Sunclub items
-lots of nail art products
-double eyepencils
-lipglosses
-lipliners
and so on...

So grab your favourites as soon as you can, because they will be gone once March starts!

NOTD: Black Out number 2 (Golden Rose Scale Effect)

This week, Enchantra has a sale on the Golden Rose cale effect polishes, they are only 2,50 euros now!
So in honour of that, I pulled out one of my own bottles and made this NOTD.

This is Golden Rose Scale effect no 02 on top of Rimmel's Black Out polish. The flakes are much more vibrant, but I couldn't use my flash, otherwise the colour would change ;)

This polish looks clear, with some orange and blue flakes. But on a black base, this polish turns into darkorange(/red) and dark blue flakes!

With the right lighting the flakes change colours, the bottom is what they look indoors, the top is what they look like in daylight.

The flakes' colours runs from yellow, gold, orange, red to green and blue.

This Golden Rose polish is mostly orange/red and blue indoors. It almost gives the black a blueish shine to it.
But outdoors with the right daylight, or indoors with bright light, it turns into all the colours of the rainbow.

I already own 4 or 5 bottles of this gorgeous stuff, but I've let my eyes fall on no 14, which is now on my wishlist :)

EOTD: Spellbound Fantasy

This EOTD was made with several purple colours:

Gosh Velvet Touch eyeliner, Funky Violet
Essence eyeshadow, Mix It, Baby!
Manhattan Multieffect eyeshadow, Light Lilac
Bourjois eyeshadow, Prune Intense
Sleek I-Dust Fantasy & Spellbound

I also used Gosh Velvet touch waterproof eyeshadowsticks Love that Purple and Love that violet, as a base.
In reailty the colours were a bit darker, seomhow the daylight filtered red out of the pictures..

I used Light Lilac on the inner eyecorner, and next to it Prune Intense.
In the outer V, I applied Sleek Fantasy and in the crease I applied Spellbound.

I used the lightest colour of the Essence duo as a highlighter below my eyebrows.
Below my eyes, I applied some Funky Violet. The picture above comes closer to the real colours, keep in mind that Fantasy is the same colour that is shown on the first picture.

I really like mixing purples together, too bad I can never catch it accurately on cam.

NOTD: Cheers to you, Zebra!

This NOTD was done with China Glaze Cheers to You and the Essence stamping polish in black.

Cheers to you is a very shiney silver, that doesn't apply very easy. If you want a thick coat, you can polish away the polish that's already applied, kinda like with holographic polishes.
I advice multiple layers instead if one think coat.

I used a nail art bruh to create the zebra stripes on the ringfinger. I used Essence Stamping polish, which dries very fast, so you have to work fast aswell.

I really like the silver/black combo...

Review & Swatches: Burt's Bees lipshimmers

This is a review about the Burt's Bees Lipshimmers. I already had a lipbalm, which I thought was pretty nice, so I really wanted to try out these lipshimmers. These are basically, tinted lipbalms.

What the Burt's Bees site tells us about them:
A kiss of colour and pearlised shine add a hint of glamour to our world famous lip balm. Condition, smooth & highlight your lips with our wonderful selection of seven shimmering shades. Luminescent earth pigments add a hint of colour to our natural beeswax lip balm to give your lips the lift they need. Nourish, moisturise and soothe your lips with natural ingredients like vitamin E and coconut and sunflower oils. It's time to pucker up with shimmery colour.

I own Raisin, Merlot and Fig.
Raisin looks really dark, but when you apply it on your lips, it's  a very pigmented red with a pink? undertone.
Merlot is a pretty vibrant red, and also the one that applies the most diffcult of the three. It seems to be less creamy and tends to show every flake on your lip.
Fig is my favourite, it applies like a dream because it's very creamy. It's a darker orange or mb even a brown tone, it doesn't look too unnatural on the lips.

What I like about these lipshimmers is, that they taste like peppermint when you firt apply and it gives a fresh feeling on your lips. They don't really dry out your lips either, allthough I have to say that Merlot and even Raisin are a bit dryer than Fig. But maybe I just had a bad batch, you never know. The lipshimmers give a very nice shine to your lips and it stays on fairly well. I like to use these at work from time to time. The air is dry there and my lips tend to dry out because I have to talk a lot. So tinted lipbalms are a great help.

 Without Flash:

You can find some of these lipshimmers for example at Boozyshop for 8,49 euros.
I have to admit, that I bought them for only 3 euros a piece from someone else at Marktplaats.nl ;)

KKCenterHK Haul

A while ago I placed an order at KKcenterHK, and it arrived the day after the Born Pretty Store stuff arrived.
I forgot to write a post about it, so there it is.

I mostly ordered stuff for the blog and for the Elf Fantasy Fair and Castlefest outfits.
I kept in mind that I wanted to do a Phoenix look some time (castlefest?) , and maybe a Medusalook later on.

Ofcourse I also ordered some for my peacock costume, And I think I'll be using the ones on the right for this years look.

You'll probably see these lashes on the blog come by once in a while in the more elaborate looks :)

EOTD: Chartreuse & GreenBrown

A while ago I bought the MAC pigment Chartreuse. I also had a sample lying around of the pigment Greenbrown. I decided these two could be combined into a nice look.
After this look I decided I needed a fullsize Greenbrown pigment, I'm a sucker for duochromes ;), so I bought a pot. *yeay* (And I even walkd past the Peacocky collection without buying any, *yeay* for me!)

It's a very simple look with just these 2 colours and some eyeliner.

I applied Chartreuse on the inner eye corner towards the middle. And next to it I applied Greenbrown. The green that is reflected by the light in Greenbrown, matches perfectly with Chartreuse.

Below the eyes I applied the pigments in the same way. I applied some Gosh Extreme Art eyeliner on my uppereyeliner and added a wing. I also applied some copper eyeliner of an LE collection by Catrice. Later on, when I did this look again, I didn't use the copper liner again.

(Don't mind the hair, on here it was just dyed and then it cant get a bit fluffy/frizzy at first)

Just add a beautifull green flower in your hair, and it feels like spring/summer!

On my lips I applied Gosh velvet touch lipstick Mocha, which I found in the bargainbasket at Kruidvat with a 50% discount.

And another goofy pic, since I really am NOT good at posing:

Review: Diva sPoo Bar "Summer Salt Citrus" by In de Watten

When Caroline of In de Watten twittered about Spoobars with a citrus scent, I really wanted to try one out. Espcially when she told me the Spoobars were really mild to the skin.

I LOVE citrus scents, I'm seriously addicted to lemon, but other citrus makes me happy aswell. Literally. When I smelled this Spoobar, I seriously felt my mood change.

I also have a very sensitive skin on my head, and I can't use just any shampoo because of it. So this was really interesting for me to use.

This is how it looked like when it arrived at my house. Totally cute in a chiffon purple bag.
I could already smell the citrus.
The Spoobar itself was packaged in some paper and put within a plastic bag.

The plastic bag has the name and all the ingredients on it, very handy, since I still use that bag to storage the spoobar.

The spoobar is easy to use: Just make it a bit wet, and rub it with your hands. It will start foaming and then you can apply the foam on your hair.
To show you that it gives quite a large amount of foam with just some rubbing, heres a picture:

I've been using this spoobar for a while now, and even though the skin on my head still itches, it does seem to itch quite a lot less then before. It also seems to keep the itching away for quite some time. I can't wash my hair everyday, I can only do so every 3 or 4 days, and at the 3rd day I tend to get crazy sfrom the itch with the wrong kind of shampoo. This Spoobar made the itching pretty bareable.
And don't forget, it's not like my skin with its eczema and all can just 'heal' within a few uses of this spoobar.

I put it to the biggest test known to my hair: I used it after dying my hair. It went perfectly!
My skin seems to be a bit less itchy, my hair smells SOOOOOOO good, and I think it might even look better then before.
All in all, a pretty awesome shampoo for only 9,95 euros. For those of you who think this is a bit expensive, I've had similar products before and I can use these for AGES. They can be used much longer then normal liqiud shampoos.

EOTD: My Valentinesday Look

Since I already did a pink/red valentinelook, I wanted to do something different for Valentinesday.
I decided that I would do a look inspired by the necklace my hubby gave me for our 2,5 yr weddinganniversary. It's a silver chain with a beautifull big turquoise stone in it in the shape of a heart. That stone, was my inspiration.

I used Gosh Aquatic on my inner eyecorner and towards the middle of my eyelid. Next to it I applied MAC Bluebrown Pigment and blended those a bit in the middle. Bluebrown reflect with a bit of turquoise/teal with the right lighting. It's a gorgeous colour.

Above the crease and into the Outer V, I applied Sugarpill's Magpie. Which is a beautifull dark blue with lots of shimmer in it.

Below the eye I used some Bourjois Regard Effet Metallise,Vert Eclatant. And on the outer corner I applied some more Mac pigment on it.

This is in the morning, right before work. I am NOT a morningperson as you can see :P
I'm not wearing anything on my lips either because of work, which makes the look a bit...unfinished.
Anyway, at least you can see the gorgeous necklace :)
